Gapuwiyak is located approximately 150 km west/southwest of the mining town of Nhulunbuy in the Northern Territory. The community has a population of around 1000 Yolngu people.

This site offers a chance for the people to interact in community events and gives a closer look at what services and projects the Council is doing throughout the area.

The Gapuwiyak Community Inc is dedicated to offering the best services to the community. We are taking an active approach to working with the community to create a place that we can all be proud to live.

The Council hopes that the website will be of value to the community and to visitors by giving people a chance to see what our community and the Council has to offer.
